A Short History Of All Things Dansette

Dansette are:

Jenny Scott - Caller and recognised authority on country dances
James O'Dwyer - Violin and voice
Helen Hockenhull - Keyboard, mandolin and voice
Geoff Keighley - Drums, percussion and djembe
Chris Marks - Guitars and percussion

Helen and Chris are both respected music teachers and all of the band have 25-30 years of quality semi-pro and pro band performing and session experience. The majority have been in the successful performing and recording band JCB. Helen is also a member of "Grace Notes".

Dansette's vast experience and versatility have created a repertoire of diverse music ranging from jigs, reels, country rock to latin and reggae, music from the hit Riverdance to sung ballads, jazz standards and waltzes.

Dansette's previous work has included:
Weddings, Dinner Dances, Fund Raising Events, Rugby Club Dances, PTA Dances, Rotary Club Charter Nights, Corporate Functions, 18th Birthdays, 80th Birthdays, to name but a few.

Dansette accommodate and appeal to all age groups and consequently each event is unique. Taking part is the key to an evening of tremendous fun and enjoyment...for everyone!
